Introduction:
This module integrates MGE RS232 UPSs into Microsoft Power Management and provides basic features.

Note:
MGE USB UPSs are automatically recognized and integrated into Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003 without additional software.

Installation:

  1. Download the Powerkit package on your computer.
    After download, uncompress the archive into a temporary directory and indicate its path during PnP installation (remember the path of this temporary directory to remove it once installation is completed).
  2. Plug your MGE UPS through RS232. After Reboot, the PnP mechanism is activated.
  3. MGE Driver is copied on your system.
  4. In the Control Panel (Menu Start/Settings/Control Panel), double click the Power Option Properties icon and select UPS tab.
  5. Click the SELECT button.
  6. Select MGE OPS from the Select Manufacturer list.

  7. Select the model of UPS that is attached to your machine from Select Model List.
  8. Select the COM port from the On Port list.
  9. You will watch UPS and Model on main UPS Interface tab.
